New Westminster Survey

Thank you for your interest in sharing your thoughts on land use decisions in your community!

We are inviting New Westminster residents to share their experiences with both public hearings and the BeHeard website by completing this quick survey. The information gathered will inform our work by helping us understand what is working well and what changes should be considered in the public hearing process to strengthen democratic process and community engagement.

The findings of this research will be shared with both the public and the City of New Westminster. Below is the link to the survey as well as further information about the Renovate the Public Hearing Initiative.

Renovate the Public Hearing

The Renovate the Public Hearing Initiative is a collaborative initiative created by SFU's Morris J Wosk Centre for Dialogue to act as a convener and catalyst in the public hearing space. Our project is piloting changes to British Columbia's land-use public hearing requirements to enhance social justice and community-building and strengthen our democratic culture. Check out the rest of our website for more information about our work and who we are.
